The idea to address the nutritional needs of cancer patients began in 2008, when my father was diagnosed with cancer. During that time, we saw firsthand how vital proper nutrition, especially protein supplements, was in improving the quality of life for patients. Unfortunately, due to limited awareness and financial barriers, many patients often miss out on this critical aspect of care. For six years, we witnessed how individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds struggled with essentials which motivated us to take action.
In 2021, we started focusing on underserved communities by distributing protein supplements and educating patients about the importance of nutrition in supporting their health, enhancing their quality of life, and aiding the healing process. Our mission is to heal more lives and raise awareness about the critical role of nutrition, which led us to establishing the Smriti Cancer Care Foundation.
We also support the families of the cancer patients as they are having their own fight and at times impacting their basic survival needs of running their routine household, not coping with educational needs of their kids so we collaborate with such families to support them during this journey while the patient is completely healed.
